How many guests can the Magic hold?+
Up to 120 guests for private functions and 100 for fully catered events. The boat is also licensed for formal seated dining for up to 40 guests.
Where do we board?+
King Street Wharf in Darling Harbour. Other Sydney city wharves are available on request ($55 wharf fee per location).
What's included with a charter?+
Exclusive use of the MV Sydney Magic, captain & crew, fully licensed bar, climate-controlled lower deck and open-top upper deck. Food, beverage packages, DJ and other entertainment are added on top.
Can we BYO?+
Yes, two BYO packages are available. Package 1 covers BYO food & drinks ($3,600, $4,400). Package 2 is BYO food only with bar on board ($2,800, $3,900).
Do you have a DJ?+
Yes, add a professional DJ for $550. The boat is fully DJ-ready with built-in sound system.
Are 18ths and 21sts OK?+
Yes, but a licensed security guard is required ($350 for up to 4 hours) and max 50 guests. Bucks cruises are not available.
What about NYE?+
Magic is a regular participant in the famous NYE Sydney Harbour Light Parade with front-row fireworks. $1,250 pp adult / $950 pp child. Tickets for NYE 2026 on sale now.
Public holiday surcharge?+
Yes, public holidays are minimum 4 hours and a 20% surcharge applies to the total booking.
Can we get married on the boat?+
Absolutely. Two wedding packages from $5,700, $6,500. The top deck is the perfect ceremony setting.
How do deposits work?+
Groups of 10+ can pay 20% deposit (if 21+ days out). Final guest numbers confirmed 7 days before. Full payment 21 days prior to cruise.
